A support tool for planning and assessment through curricular target setting from level W to level 6 inclusive.Compiled by Redbridge consultants and LMTs, this book provides a progressive continuum of targets to tightly focus assessment and to inform planning.

Assess and Review Lessons for the Key Objectives

Assess and Review numeracy lessons may take place half-termly or at the end of a unit of work, in accordance with the assessment procedures already in place in school. These Assess and Review lessons are about focussing on ONE Key Objective for the whole class and assessing an ‘invisible’ group of children – those children who the teacher does not know if they have definitely achieved the objective or not. There is no need to assess all children for all Key Objectives in this way (i.e. not all Assess and Review lessons need to be used).

Using ICT in the Mathematics Lesson NEW!

This new booklet contains lessons for all year groups using free ICT resources. The book has been written and trialled by Redbridge teachers and costs £10. A sample lesson can be seen here.

Assessing MA1 in the Mathematics Lesson

A booklet compiled by Redbridge LMTs containing tasks for KS 3 assessment of MA1. Each task has a marking scheme which is referenced to both the National Curriculum levels and Framework objectives.
